Thanksgiving Dinner / Quilts of Valor

As always, the volunteers from the Quilts of Valor, Branford Congregational Church, Branford Rotary Club, Branford High Scholl (Interact Club), Disabled Veterans Association and Girl Scouts Troop #3 made this a truly special day for our Veterans. The food was excellent, plentiful and served with a smile. The quilts present by “Quilts of Valor” really brought smiles out of four of the veterans, Willie Williams USMC, Christiana Alkire, USMC, Bob Pieta USN, Pete Cimino Branford Rotary Club. Thank you to all the volunteers and the Veterans that came out to enjoy this special day.

Please share this event & date with your classic car-loving friends in the area! We’ll be there all day, and welcome you to see the show and visit us at the booth. It’s a great outing for the family…and for driving-age teens to learn what “Old School” really means!

The Branford Rotary Club has been supporting Take A Vet Fishing for many years now by fundraising with this event and also sponsoring one of our fishing events at Killam’s Point with their cooking and volunteers.

Directions: Van Wilgen’s Garden Center is located at 51 Valley Rd North Branford, off Rte139. Take School Ground Rd from shoreline area due to bridge construction.
